Sydney Cox turned professional in 2010 after not only earning four NAIA Team National Championship Titles from 2005-2009 but also claiming the very first tournament of her college career and the very last, the 2009 NAIA Women’s National Championship. She graduated a three-time All-American at Oklahoma City University, earning four collegiate victories and a thirst to play amongst the greatest players in the world. She started her professional journey with full status on the Futures Tour, now the LPGA Symetra Tour, and has continued to pursue her passion all over the world. Her continued success in competition came through a combination of three seasons on the Australian Ladies Tour, four seasons on the CN and CP Canadian Women’s Tour and six seasons on the Cactus and NWGA (Suncoast) tours. She has also earned selected Ladies European Tour positions, playing in the RACV Ladies Masters and Oates Victorian Open in Australia, the ISPS Handa Women’s New Zealand Open in Christ Church, NZ, and the Thailand LPGA Masters in Bangkok. Alongside multiple top-ten, top five, and two runner-up finishes, her most memorable was placing 5th in the 2015 Women’s PGA Championship of Canada, with scores of 65, 72.
There is no doubt that Sydney’s competitive drive was paralleled in the classroom. She graduated a two-time Academic All-American with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Cum Laude, from OCU in 2009 and is continuing to further her passion for fitness through various avenues. She obtained her American College of Sports Medicine certification as a Health and Fitness Specialist in 2013 and is also certified Level 3 Fitness through Titleist Performance Institute. Sydney’s golf fitness expertise, eight-year professional playing career and nine-year background in teaching poses a very obvious quest to grow and teach the game.
